Custom Maps and Generate Game - Is that your final answer?

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

Custom Maps and Generate Game - Is that your final answer?

Post by Polrbear »

I'm having a problem using a downloaded custom map with a "Battle" generated PBEM game. For some reason the setup boundaries are not allowing one player to deploy his purchased units. Could someone provide the definitive procedure for using custom maps in generated games.

I've had the same problem playing against the AI. The AI can set up but the setup boundries are on the last hex row on my side of the map, using a downloaded map.

You have to bring the map in the scenario editor and edit the deploy line to the style of game you want to play. Save a copy of the original map to a name you'll remember. take the save copy of the map and in the map editor you can set your deploy line and set victory objective, save the map and it should make for great pbem if you've done everything right. There some good stuff in the manual on how to edit maps. Image
Hope this helps.
