Has anyone had their planes get shot down with no enemy in sight? On multiple occasions
I've had a patrol get blown up. Is this a bug?

You haven't specified what version you're playing (ANW or HCE), but in either case, its not uncommon to fall victim to an unseen enemy. Your patrol may not have had the opportunity or even the ability to detect the attacker. Lots more detail would be needed to discern exactly what happened.
