CD Game - Guadacanal - Bases with Zero Airfield Ratings?

I just started my first Guadacanal campaign as a Japanese player that came with the original CD. I notice that my ratings for airfields on the Shortlands and Rabaul are both reading Zeros as base size. Rabaul has an airfield rating of a 4 even those the base size is 0. Shortlands actually reads zero / zero. Is this an error or intentional in the scenario or does someone know of a patch to fix these types of what appear to be errors. Thanks.

It's not an error. I think in that scenario the idea is to recreate historical Guadalcanal campaing, where IJN had to operate planes mainly from Rabaul. (Well, IRL Japan did have airfield on Southern Bougainville...)

Yeah, intentional.  There is a thread about it.  Intent is that the base sizes were limited for the campaign and you have to do with what you have ...
