Interest in Email Games

Post by Rhizy »

Hi,

I've been playing and enjoying the demo and seriously considering pulling the trigger on the full version. But just wondering is there much of a PBEM community around this game and where do you find opponents? I don't notice too many requests posted in the opponents wanted section? I've followed the suggestions on using dropbox, which sounds great. I'm not an especially experienced player of these kinds of games so just wondering are there many other newbies out there keen on PBEM?

Cheers.

right now there doesnt seem to be a lot of PBM going on, but it gives a whole new dimension to the game and the dropbox method makes it pretty easy to do. there is a ladder set up at another site as well. I'll try to find and post the link to that, unless junk2drive reads this and posts it.

Thanks

Messed around with it and it's good.

I believe there is interest in pbem games but it MAY be that folks are waiting for the initial patch process to run its course before starting any battles.

Well H*ll maybe there isn't much interest in pbem. FGM shut there ladder down this morning due to lack of activity. The Blitz ladder hasn't had a single game posted on it ether. This is a shame as its a good game with the potential for some excellent pbem battles.

Apparently, those wargaming communities think otherwise. I would give it time though...probably after the patch and things will pick up and those communities may rethink their positions.
