Starting Problems

I just purchased this game and it wont start - I am running windows 7 and have tried all of the things suggested in the threads under wont start

I get the message " Armada 2526 has stopped working" Windows is checking for a solution to this problem. when I click on the PLAY ARMADA 2526 Supernova splash screen
