Stuka & Overruns

Post by greykemp@gmail.com »

In the Old PG Stukas and PzIA could destroy the world. Once the PZ got the overrun capability they could knock off 3 or 4 supressed units in one turn. It appears this has been fixed in the new version. If so, I think it's GREAT.

Yes, overrun is gone, Stuka's with +3/4 overstrength can still do massive damage on soft targets that aren't entranched and/or are on a transport but I don't see them take down a full strength tank unit anymore [:D].

Having just played Bagration in campaign mode, I can inform that even 14 strength Stuka's are a more of a nuisance than a threat to USSR IS2s... [X(]

I think in my next campaign I will get all fighter/bombers and no Stukas.  I just don't see much difference, and f/bs are too useful to ignore.

I play on Field Marshall level and with my Stuka's I put a beatdown on the Russian Forces with my Stuka's and killed every unit but 1 freaking Unit who I could not reach with anyone in range and I owned every town, not sure what tactic you guys are using but I would trade a Tiger for my Stuka any day and I get 3 for 1 in pricing, Win Win for me. No offense I just don't think your using them in a correct way, because if you exploit the enemy tank hoards weakness there easy pickings from above.

Panther Tank seems weak to me there only good for 1 scenario then after that there a liabilty to me, but thats just my opinion and I might not be using at as good as someone else because we all have different tactics. =P
