White flash and enemy unit is destroyed?

White flash and enemy unit is destroyed?

Sometimes I am about to commence a turn, and I see 2 or 3 white flashes and the enemy unit is destroyed!

What is that?

Hi Joe

I've had times where a unit is eliminated after all the firing and assaults have been completed. At the time I checked why that was and it was OK ... unfortunately I can't recall what I put it down to ... if I come across it again I'll let you know. There may have been a white flash [;)]

Hi Joe

Units can be eliminated during the withdrawal phase when the withdrawal check role has generated a hit and a lot of disruption.

And just had a Italian few units surrendered at the start of the direct fire phase - saw a puff of smoke. You should see them Joe - it's on the Gela turn you're about to get :)

Hmm, at first I thought he meant the whole screen flashes a few times. But I guess it was just the puffs-of-smoke representation. In that case, yes it could be the extra damage taken from withdraw actions gone bad. The phasing player executes his withdraws first.
