ATG master file questions

Post by CSO_Talorgan »

I'd like to create a new scenario using a my favourite graphics from the game, some new forms of terrain, and new units. Am I right in thinking that I need to create a new master file?

How do you do that in ATG?

Once I have created said new master file, will I be able to go back and add further new terrain and units to it, i.e. how plastic are the master files?

Apologies if these are thick questions or have been asked before, but I haven't been able to find them.

Yes and no. You dont have to create a masterfile, but you will need to de-attach the current masterfile. You do this in settings in the editor select masterfile and deselect the current one without selecting a new one. Then you can work as much as you want on your scenario. Your new scenario will contain a masterfile, but that is nothing you have to care about you can save it as a scenariofile. The only time you will need to save it as a masterfile is if you want to create a new scenario using the new terrain, units etc that you created for your first scenario.

Hope this helps.
