I haven't played WitpAE enough to have a bad day but in Storm over the Pacific I had an American task force lose three carriers from land based planes. [:@]
After 16 years, Civ II still has me in it's clutches LOL!!!
Now CIV IV has me in it's evil clutches!

I'n my 1st PBEM I sent my 2 carrier groups to meet east of Christmas Island & run for the coast.

I had no idea there was such a big hole in the water there, but KB pointed it out.  Nothing came outta that hole, either [&:]
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I had 6 CV & 2 CVL sitting off Saipan smashing the LCU, when the island was captured and I set them to return to PH I forgot to set them back to Naval Attack and got intercepted by AI's KB.

I think I shot down 400+ (incl some LBA) and suffered heavy damage to 3 CV who limped back to Saipan's amazing port and lighter damage to the remaining CV/CVL.

Never dis the AI, it can still hurt you.

1st Sentai with Ki-43-IIb Oscar (0 airborne, 0 on standby, 0 scrambling)
0 plane(s) not yet engaged, 1 being recalled, 0 out of immediate contact.
      Group patrol altitude is 21000
Time for all group planes to reach interception is 9 minutes

This thing happening in late 1943's.

Allied AA is non-existant... the pilots were all well trained etc.

It seems we might have hit single japanese CV... LMAO! That is ridicilious.

I know.. don't complain and suck it up. Yeah.. well I'am not abandoning PBEM or anything just pointing out how absurd the game can be.

I could say few things about land movement system regarding combat troops as well.

Why does the game "reset" movement to 0 when you are moving into HEX you have control of and no enemies there.

Not even in combat mode.. this thing has been bugged since Witp and should be fixed by now!

...well end of rant.. just a little bit pissed off by this game to say at least... take the "little" out of that last sentence ofcourse.

In my Allied pbem with Scout1 I foolishly attempted a raid on Jap amphibious ships south of Java. My aircraft hit the transports while the KB was smacking me. He had a cruiser tf to the south of my escape route and as I had not set the routing to direct and absolute risk, my air combat tfs just sat there for a two day turn instead of hitting and running as I planned. This painful lesson cost me 3 USN CVs and 1 RN CV, 2 modern US BBs and assorted cruisers and destroyers. We are playing scenario 2, so I am probably at least 1:3 in on map CVs in late '42. You can imagine how it is cramping my style...

Lost CVL Ryouji to an allied SCTF on December 10th 1941...and then the rest of mini KB to allied carriers a few weeks later. Not a good day, not a good day at all.
