Map Editor Problem

Post by RAUBKATER1 »

I have tried to use the mapmaker, but I can hardly scroll down to 'LIGHTING' , let alone anything else below that!

I have a Pentium PC with an AMD Phenom 11x4 965 Processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 580
Video Card and see no reason why I should have a problem...

Please Help???

It has a "grab hand" feature that you click and pull the panel upward to access the other items.

Yes,I know it does, but I can only pull it to just past the word "LIGHTING".
Here is the version of Mapmaker I got with the game:(1.3.2.2).

I've  seen on the Tutorials that you used a  version, which looks different from mine!
... so I'm still stuck...[8|]

I also have 1.3.2.2 and if I place the finger of the hand in the gray area next to the word Lighting, I can left click, hold, and push my mouse away from me to raise the panel.

Below Lighting is Labels and Mapping.

Dear Junk2Drive,
The extent of which I can scroll goes from the H/MAP icon to the LIGHTING icon in the mapmaker.

There is a thin  dark-grey bar to the left of the map itself separating the features in the "grey area".
That line bottoms out (when scrolling) at my lighting feature, and no matter what I do,cannot bring up the MAPPING
or any other feature below it.

I'm very sorry, but I KNOW I'm not stupid, it's just not working for me.
Has anyone else out there had this problem?

It's frustrating to say the least!

What is your screen resolution, and what is your setting for DPI? I've had a simialr problam occasionally with the Sceanrio editor not showing everything, but I could fix it by dragging my Windows status bar to the side temporarily, I could even drag it back down afterwards and the window would then adjust correctly. I don't know if that will work in your case though.

EDIT: I just did a quick test and if I change my display from the default 'small' setting to the 'medium' setting I get the exact behavior you describe. So perhaps your setting is on medium. In Win 7 you can change it pretty easy by right clicking on the desktop, choosing personalize, then choose display at bottom on left. I'm sure there are other was to get to that setting too.

It seems pretty easy to switch it back and forth, though it does require a log out, not a reboot, but a log out and back in to windows.

Thanks
