Beta patch 4.2.246 question on exit order

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Beta patch 4.2.246 question on exit order

Post by Topo »

Form fix list:
Prevent the exiting of units where they cannot contribute further to the attainment of a victory condition.

It means that if I get an exit order to a formation, only the units unnecessary to increase victory points will refuse to do so?
They will remain stationary at the exit point?

I believe this is mainly for the AI player, so it they will stop exiting units when the condition is fulfilled.

I don't think the human player is restricted in how many units can exit.

I had another question on exit orders which came up during a MP session.

I gave an exit order to a KG of units at a exit obj which was being defended by a mixed enemy group. Some of my units made it into the obj area (the yellow circle) but did not exit the map. Does the exit obj need to be clear of enemy units for friendlies under a exit order to leave and get counted towards an exit victory objective? I searched through the manual but it did not say that I could not exit through a defended objective. Any ideas? Thanks.

Yes, it needs to be clear of enemy units to exit.
