Question about multiple wonder at the same planet

Post by Kruos »

Hi,

If I have a planet with multiple wonders built on it, do the multiple development bonus stack? Or is it just the best bonus which is finally applied?

I ask that because in my current game, I have two wonders on the same planet, each one give in theory +50 developpment, but when I look at my planet I have only +50 it seems. I have loaded a save to check that. Before the second wonder I had : 150% (+50%) indicated in the planet window (Rusan technologie), and after the I had the same 150% (+50%) (Casidor weapon).

Note : In the galactopedia the bonus indicated is only +30%, not +50% as indicated in the planet window.

Thank you. :)

Yeah, I'm seeing the same thing. I have both of those wonders on my homeworld, and only +50%. At least I'm getting the research bonus though!

I have noticed the same thing.  Development bonus is capped at +50%.  So stacking wonders doesn't help development, of course usually you only have one planet that can build them in a reasonable time anyway :(

By the time any other colonies are grown up the tech tree is pretty much exhausted.

You can slow research down to 999k per level.

Is 999k the absolute limit?

I've been able to type in much larger numbers. Never tried playing with them, though.

I realize that but I figured I would play a few games on default settings given all the changes before I started to make opinions about what are the "correct" settings.

As it is now the population growth seems a realistic pace, technology progress seems pretty fast though given the rest of the game. This problem highlights this. I will research most or even all of the wonders before I have a second colony capable of building one, so I need to build them all in the capital.

I haven't run into that but I've played on 'very expensive' technology for quite a while now. Although given that that has been changed from 240k to 480k in the expansion I might, when I feel like a change, try simple 'expensive'. Guess it would take me back to the 'good ole days'. [:D]
