This is the BBC. Tentions between the USSR(Gary) and NATO continue to rise as negotiations over the return of the German homeland to the German people and USSR's demand for war reparations and additonal space needed to prevent a reaccurance of WWII invation of USSR soil, have broken down. Great Britian(VikingNo2) in a sign of mounting tentions has moved a tremenous amount of troops and armor to the mainland Europe to try to put pressure on the USSR in the negotiations. Great Britains 5th, 6th and 12th armys along with support from the 2nd and 171st tank divisions has taken up positions in West Germany. The USSR has responded in kind in moving up thier armys all along the border an have been performing war games and drills all week.
Wait this just in, we have word that skirmishes and heavy air combat between Great Britian and Soviet troops along the border of East and West Germany and that USSR has officially broken off radio contact with NATO. Massive armies are clashing all along the border in the Great forest. This looks like a prelude to an all out attack. This is Ralph Cromwell of the BBC sighing off.

Since I did not get a chance to place all 400 units last night. Change there settings and ranges I guess this will have to do for now.

Will the USSR with its nearly indestructible IS-4 roll over the Great Britian defenders. or
Will Great Britian with its one shot one kill Centurion MK3 roll over the burning hulks of Russian tanks. You decide.

Negotiate. Did you really feel the need to bring a whole bunch of 7.2 inch howiters along. I mean really what do you need thoughs beast for. I am starting to think that you are compensating for something commrade. Every time we meet all you do is bring the biggest gun you can carry to the table. Ssssssh.
Your initall bombardement was pathetic. You would think with the amount of holes you were puting in the ground that you were prospecting for gold. Well your air force is much more accurate than your artillary. But since this is the intial engagement I will tell you what you luckly took out. First there was this big truck, and then there was this ammo depot and then a ZSU M17. But that was all.:p Please try to do better next time.

Email is working now Sneaky Gary doesn't think I see him I guess. His rockets wipe some infantry from the battle field, I got one of those .50 cal halftrack, other than that we trade arty.

I see that you are not a big fan of the 50cal Quad AAMG. The Soviet Socialist Republic on the other hand has found it very useful in shoting down thoughs pesky British aircraft. Oh and did I mention how good they are at chewing up British infantry men. I have eliminated some of your eyes and ears but I think we will stop at the nose. You would truly look ugly if we cut off your nose.

You do not feel that you are doing well. I understand. I did try to get a map that was balanced for both of us. In an effort of equality I will make this offer. I will not request any reinforcements. You may request as much as you can, which I believe would be 3,800 points worth. There comrade did that stiffen your back bone a bit or would you rather just start over. I would hate to through away all the time we both put into seting up this battle. The political menuvering and hey you just shot down one of my planes that was not nice. Well commrade Viking what shall it be?

By scouting recon patrols, folowed by slow moving infantry, followed by running infantry, followed by infantry in half tracks. Has steadly and compleatly pushed the British troops, AT-guns and Tanks back and back and back all along th Southern front (50 hexes long).
The British desperate to hold the Russian hordes back have place there tanks in an AT-gun roll sitting well back away from the infantry and firing at them as they come threw the smoke and forests.
With limited success the British counter strike where posible only to get ambushed by the infantry men hiding and waiting for just the opertunity to get into assualt positions on the Comets and Centurions MK3's.
Looking at his subordantes Tatrovisky smiles as the battle progresses well. Curses as he hears another commando squad has penitrated his mirage of defenses to successfully assualt a T-44 in cover.
Well Comrade I see there is still some fight left in you.

The situation is desperate, Finnally my arty seems to do some damage. Another plane gets shot down, I even tried to be careful with it, fortunes of war. sooner or later his first wave will run out of steam( I hope) with as many units as there are in other areas. " Situation in doubt"

We are starting to get reports of heavy commando concentrations in our back field.
Commando's you say. We have been taking out 2 to 3 squads every round. It seems that that is all the enemy has to through at us. No matter. Send in the Coke Crazed Commicazy Motorcyclists to to deal with them.
