Monitor/Miner

Post by the1sean »

If I put a gas mining component (along w/ expanded storage and docking bays) can a monitor station also function as a refueling point for my navy? I did it a long time ago and I *think* it worked but couldn't recall for sure. Anybody have some input.

PS: Also, if I put mineral and luxury mining components on it will it function as a mining station as well?

Yes it should work.

Make sure you also add a commerce centre for trade bonuses but also to attract freighters.

The logical thing to do would be to make a star base with a long range scanner. And of course adjust the extractors/storage/docks to fit your need.

Tested - Results are that Monitor stations with gas extraction WILL be used as refueling points. This is awesomeness.

WOW, and if i add a construction set to it (plants+constructor) will it also be able to produce ships? I do recall doing so once, but for some reason freighters avoided it. Perhaps i forgot to add commerce center...
