Does Target Tracking benefit Missiles/Torps/Fighters?

Post by Trifler »

I've been wondering if Target Tracking modules benefit self-guided weapons such as missiles, torpedoes, and/or fighters. Does anyone know?

Yes they do Trifler. And the countermeasure modules work against them in defense as well.
Having, or not having, these modules do affect the 'hit and miss' ratio formulas of the game!

Good hunting! [:)]

Shields are useless in "The Briar Patch"...

Thanks!

I was almost certain Fighters wouldn't be since they're independent entities, but if they work then they must still be considered a part of the ship that launched them. :)

I think that they don't influence fighters/bombers because they have their separate targeting and countermeasures  stats. However they are treated as part of a ship because they disappear when their corresponding fighter bay is destroyed [:)]
