Some old fun

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Some old fun

Post by harley »

So there I was, setting up a new machine to do some coding on. I couldn't find the original setup installer to test with so I thought I'd grab a beta one just to get moving. When I fired off the game, I got the old placeholder art I created. I laughed.

good times... good times...

what's the story behind "Balkin hell that was close or Dude, where's my P40"? I can tell this is one of those 'you had to be there' moments.

I think the P40 one was the grog discussion about who called them what, and who used what type. Kittyhawks, Tomohawks. Warhawks, P40's etc... As usual it degenerated into a slanging match in the dev forum between HARD_Sarge and DBS, both experts in minutiae of warfare...

As for "Balkin Hell", I just thought it sounded cool. We were putting the Balkan Air Force in the game, and it just worked for me.

I'm not normal.
