Ambassador wont stay put

Post by Evrett »

The AI seems to reassign my Ambassador without my input or knowledge and he ends up spending most of his career being shipped back to where I want him at to just be moved again. Is there an opinion to turn off AI management of Ambassadors ?

There is an option, in "Options", to turn on or off AI management of character locations. It is a global setting that affects all your characters, except for your intelligence agents (which is determined by policy). Checking the box or unchecking it will mean that the AI can or can't move most of your characters around at will.

Personally, I leave it checked, since i play very big maps usually. Would be nice to have an option to automate individual characters just like we can ships, though.

ah there it is! You know this little option should really be with its AI option friends in the empire policy menu. Its going to feel left out hidden there.

Sometimes I feel like you could do an entire expansion for this game purely on AI options, and it would be money well spent.
