screen blackouts

Post by mcissell »

I have had some issues of sudden closing of the game without me pushing the botton, causing an hour (or much more) of button work. Now I could just save the game more often, but in the heat of the battle I often forget. Any suggestions?

We all need more details. Computer type. OS. version of WITP etc. The more the better.

XP / Dell Vostro 220 / core 2 duo / 2GB
Game version 1.0.4.1106i

Over the last year it would do it rarely (once a quarter), now it's weekly or even daily.

Most likely the OS needs a reinstall. I do a clean XP reinstall every 6 mths. But if I were you I'd uninstall and reinstall witp-ae (copying the save file somewhere) or the save button is your friend [;)]

There could also be something else running that is interfering.  I'd suggest a clean reboot of Windows before starting up AE, and opening nothing else if at all possible.
