Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.
I am copying some stuff I raised on our internal dev forum. We need to come up with a new title for our first east front game.
IIRC we had earlier come up with Red Star Rising but in the meantime that name has been used by several other products, including a strategic board game and a tactical first person shooter.
Ideally the name should be catchy, emotive, pithy and hopefully indicative of what the game is about. And we don't want a title that would be more at home on a doctoral thesis.
I'll get the ball rolling here with a suggestion that I'm not all that happy with but does in part fulfill the requirements - Eastern Onslaught.
Suggestions, comments, thoughts please.
Some of the better suggestions include Beyond Stalingrad and Blood Red Snow.
How about a little reward for the user who comes up with the title that's gonna decorate the game box?
Like .... a free copy of the game? [:)]
Oh and I don't recommend to opt for "Beyond Stalingrad". I'd just hate to see abbreviation-loving people type "BS", whenever they're referring to the Eastern Front Game. [:D]

As you say, some of the better titles are already used in boardgames: A Victory Lost; Fury in the East etc.
Suppose book titles by David Glantz would be a good starting point, e.g. From the Don to the Dnepr (most are actually not that stirring once you take a closer look!).
Is Red Storm too partisan?
Anyway, the subtext should definitely read: "Beyond Stalingrad"
Red Tide : Beyond Stalingrad, but then real time bs...
Chir River and Prokhorovka, crap not that either...
Battle for the Babushka, yeah thats it, BftB.

Hitler called the Eastern campaign a "war of annihilation"; how about something along those lines, i.e., "Command Ops: War of Annihilation"?

As an afterthought, since the Germans never regained the initiative after Stalingrad, the title could be something along those lines as well.

How about returning to your roots and re-using "Fire Brigade"?? or maybe "Fire Brigade: Beyond Stalingrad" etc.

So we're at war with the Russkies eh?? I suppose we really ought to invade or something. (Lonnnng pause while studying the map)
Hmmmm... big place ain't it??

I like Battles in the East, as mentioned above. It obviously meshes with another East Front game at an entirely different level that is sold by Matrix, so I don't know if that is a plus or minus.
But then you could call it Battles in the East: Meeting Engagements, and we could call it BITE ME.
well, the Steppe -> (west/south of Stalingrad), Germany or Russia -> Wolf, depending on POV [:D]
