Danzig in GC

Post by Meteor2 »

A small deviation from history, here.
In the campaign, the Danzig hex has Poland as owner and controller.
But from 1920 on, it was the co-called "Freie Stadt Danzig" under Völkerbund-controll and
with >90% german inhabitants.
And because it was one of the ignition points for WW2, the owner/controller definition is not the right one.

it was substantially polish-controlled, and it "ignited" WW2 exactly because it was not german-controlled and germany wanted it (of course it was just an excuse for having a casus belli).

Indeed, it was a kind of protectorate, so for the gameplay we didn't wanted to create new entity.
