Change resolution?

Post by pditty8811 »

How do I do this? And what is the code to put in the target of the shortcut to change resolution in windowed mode?

I heard an update made resolution changing possible.

figured this out myself

"E:\Program Files (x86)\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -cpu4 -w -DeepColor -px1152 -py864

the resolutions have to be resolutions supported by your video card, they cant be custom odd balls. The -cpu4 im assuming is for quad cores, and the -w and deepcolor is for windowed and 32 bit forced.

There is a way to use oddball resolutions, which I use for windowed mode so the game fits on most of my screen but leaves uncovered the part I want. instead of "-px1152 -py864" use "-pxf1152 -pyf864" (notice the extra "f"). The caveat is that this is at your own risk, the developers don't support it (they can't). Sometimes there are side effects. On my PC, I can't see some of the animations properly because with the oddball resolution the screen jumps (I have an old PC). So I also add the "-noFire" switch, which turns off some of the animation stuff. Good enough for what I want.

Good luck.
