Having trouble revisiting game with Windows 7

Post by Hanal »

I have been rummaging through some of my older titles and installed TOAW on my Windows 7 notebook. I am running the game in Administrator mode but the game will not open and when I check the details of what is causing the problem I see this as the app not responding:

autorun.exe_AutoPlay Media Studio 5.0 Professional Editon Runtime

Any thoughts on what I need to do?

Kamerad Falke, what version of 7 are you using? 32-bit or 64-bit? I tested both and it works fine. Perhaps some video codec software pre-installed on the laptop that screws things up?

Disable the video intro in the OPART 3.ini, *see attched, set nointro=Y* that could solve the issue. Also run OPART 3.EXE in the Windows XP compatibility mode.
