USSR thoughts?

Time of Fury spans the whole war in Europe and gives players the opportunity to control all types of units, ground, air and naval. Not only that, each player will be able to pick a single country or selection of countries and fight his way against either the AI or in multiplayer in hotseat or Play by E-Mail. This innovative multiplayer feature will give player the chance to fight bigger scenarios against many opponents, giving the game a strategic angle that has no equal in the market. The game uses Slitherine’s revolutionary PBEM++ server system.

Against the AI it can be done, trivially. Against a human, with more effort and lots of rifle division spam to eat up APs.

The far more unbalanced scenario is 42. It's quite simply broken. No matter what the settings, the Axis sweep the Red Army off the map in a half dozen turns or so, with only remnants left huddling around a few cities. It needs a do over.

The 44 scenario, imo, overstates Axis strength considerably in the east -- they can actually go on the offensive there and push the Sovs back. (In the Ukraine, no less, where the Germans had gotten smashed to bits during the winter and only barely managed to avoid having an entire panzer army get trapped.) The Hungarian mobile corps is absurdly overpowered. You really cannot do Bagration here on schedule.

So as strange as it seems, Barbarossa is by far the most balanced of the scenarios so far as the Eastern Front goes.

well, I am not a noob, either to gaming or to this game, and Barbarrossa is really hard...
The germans are still on the offensive in jan of 41... It hardly looks like my German vs ai game.. they did not take, yet, Lenningrad, Moscow or Stallingrad.. but my tough to take, Rostov Karkov Kursk all fell to the death stars PK...
The 41 army Korps is 42 strength...
I am sure I could do better, as the IA seemed to have plenty of 3 to 5  strength inf corps come nov dec against me...
Does the IA get donuses that the human player does not?
IR Me as USSR vs the IA as USSR... the germans cannot be stopped in an effective way.. that I know of....
Which seems GREAT other than my force pools keep dropping and the enemy keeps getting farhter into the interior.. In my ai game as German, while victorious, at lest I had to stop in Winter and use the uber panzers to slow the red tide down....
