Hello Tyranicus,
Sorry to hear you are having problems. I have a couple of questions.

1. Have you checked to make sure your race.txt file content matches the
'Policy' file content for your modded race?

2. Make certain the correct amount of character files are in the 'characterImages'
folder that matches the race (An unequal number of images will crash the game).

In most cases I find that there are certain entries that get changed in the 'race' file
that don't get changed to match in the corresponding 'Policy' file. Hope this helps, but
post back of course if it doesn't! [:)]

The folder should be in:

{Drive Letter}Matrix Games/Distant Worlds/Customization/{Your Mod Name here}/characterImages

Don't you mean the raceImages folder?

@ Tyranicus
It depends on the way you implemented the new race:

1. If you replaced the Humans, replace the race04.png and the race04_a.png with your new pictures.

2. If you created a new race, check that it has a row and a column in the bias.txt.

If it still crashes, consider posting the crash dump.

Hello Dastuma, and welcome to the forums!

In Legends, if you're playing a modded race you also have a 'characters'.txt file that
corresponds with any character images files you may have placed in the 'characterImages' directory.
Or just the 'characters' directory in the DW main.
That is what I was meaning since he said it was a mod (theme) he was attempting to play.

Can I just mod them into the default game or do i have to make a mod folder for it?

I tried switching theme and I got an error stating "More biases than races at line 12" I uploaded my biases.txt if that helps?

Haha nevermind figured it out. I just need to add the other race.txt files to the races folder for it to work.
