Request for map overlay..

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Request for map overlay..

Post by wodin »

What I'd love to have that would help me loads is is an overlay that will show you the best spots to position your IG guns Anti Tank guns, mortars and heavy Mg platoons.

Say you could drag out a selection box of the area you want to analyse and it would highlight spots that are good places to position your unit, could be colour coded, yellow for mortar\blue for IG\red for Anti tank\white for MG.

What in effect would be happening is the game will analyse the map area selected and choose the best points and then show you them. You see in real life you could observe the ground and would have alot better idea of the best spots etc than you can get in the game.

I like this request. It would certainly save a lot of time with the LOS tool, at least helping to narrow the possibilities down somewhat so the dedicated commander can fine tune his selection with other tools available.
