Frustrated

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Frustrated

Post by keystone70 »

I'm playing HTTR Form the Meuse to the Rhine and I am having a serious issue with German AA units. It is day 5 into the scenario and I have about 80 tanks lines up on the canal south of Nijmegan and cannot advance further. The AI send an endless stream of AA units that set up virtually right in front of my tanks on the other side of the canal and knock out tank after tank and send the rest streaming to the rear. I know AA guns can take tanks out, but not being able to stop them from deploying when they are in point blank range is a bit unbelievable. Plus most of these units comprise the 20mm flak guns, not 88's. I also agree it takes forever to knock out the static AA units, it usually takes an entire battalion to kill them.

Use artillery, high rate of fire and concentrate a few batteries...
