can't load older game into v1.01.08r9 update

I was using 1106i but had a longrunning game, since Feb 2010 I think. Is there any hope for it?

Well hi there Sardaukar! I click on the save to load, get a notice "PWHEX data differs Continue? [use keys yes or no]" I key Y and it grinds away for 30 min with no effect, and I press ESC receiving game failed to load notice.

But, I just now tried loading an earlier backup save and then the current pre-move save and they went through the conversion OK and I have saved it. SO false alarm. Sorry to bother but thanks for the quick response.

New version looks very nice, now the learning wall repeats a little bit!

Sounds like you were using a scenario with a different pwhex file (DaBabes?), and the patch overwrote that file with the stock pwhex. I'm guessing all you need to do is copy the correct pwhex file back into the patched directory.

Oh, and you will probably need to reload the map files that go with the pwhex as well, since the patch over-writes the existing map files with stock map files.
