Hi, Flying Officer Allen DFC was a member of 85 squadron and at the time of his death was flying s Hawker hurricane 1 serial number P2701. He was on patrol when he was shot down by a Me110 of ZG26. Also shot down in the same engagement were Flying Officer WN Lepine who baled out wounded and was captured and Pilot officer JW Lecy who was killed. Circumstances of his death are unknown.....hope this answers a question for you.
