A/C Squadrons won't switch from training missions

Ok, here's a problem (whether a bug or WAD with the new patch, I don't know): I've noticed several air squadrons, selected to training missions, that won't switch to any other mission. These aren't just land-based, some are also also aboard CV's. I'm playing scenario 28 (Babes-A), Jap AI, with the latest patch installed (1.06.1108r9). Problem areas I'ved noticed: Singers, Soerabaja, Manila, CV TF 406. If there are any others I haven't noticed. I don't know if supply, base size, etc are issues here; I haven't gone through the new patch PDF file yet - with all the changes, that might take a week
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated, even if it's just to point out in the new changes something I missed reading (that's my next task). Kudos to Michaelm for all the hard work getting these things done. Thanks in advance!

I don't know if I successfully attached the savegame file; when attempting to do so (this is the first time I've done this in the matrix forums), the message popped up: xxxfakepathxxx is not supported. Do I need to ZIP this and then attach?

What I have found is, click the "Stand Down" button first, then go ahead and give them orders as you like. Hope this helps.

Witpqs - thanks! It worked, at least with the CV units. Now to the LBA. Now I just have to get into the habit of standing down before changing missions

if the training is set to 100%, you can't change to an operational mode unless you dial down the training a click or so, or zero it out w/ the stand down button.

The problem was that before, you could have 100% training and then pick a real non-training mission. Because 100% were training, this could lead to issues with the program trying to create missions to fly '0' planes, (or in some extreme cases, -x planes flying[:@]).
