annotation of units/groups

Post by Major SNAFU_M »

HI all,

Played Harpoon in the early days and now am playing the demo. Is there a way to rename/annotate groups? For instance if I have 6+ air elements, can I designate which one is EWACS and which is EWACS escort so I can easily tell them apart on the screen?

Thanks,

IIRC, NumPad7 allows you to re-name a group.

If you are playing the HC (Harpoon Classic/Commander's Edition) demo you cannot rename or otherwise annotate groups.

I was just coming back here to say that you cannot do these things in the demo, which is the CE edition.

I noticed that the 7, 5, / and * keys do not function in the demo per the command card print out that I have sitting in front of me. Also the"H" key did not seem to function.

Is there also a demo of Harpoon3 (if I am getting the nomenclature correct?

HC command cards are at:
http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.ph ... owfile=417
and
http://harpgamer.com/harpforum/index.ph ... owfile=416

I call anything that is from the original computer game HC (Harpoon Classic). That means Harpoon 1 (H1), Harpoon Classic (HC), Harpoon Commander's Edition (HCE), Harpoon Ultimate Commander's Edition (HUCE). Makes my life confusing trying to help people.

I haven't tried the H3 demo in a while, you used to have to set your clock back before the expiration date. I don't know if that still applies, http://www.computerharpoon.com/demos.html

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the link to the H3 demo. I will check that out as well. I also saw your other post and have already registered on the other site (and posted).

Thanks.
