In Soviet Russia hexes control you!

Time of Fury spans the whole war in Europe and gives players the opportunity to control all types of units, ground, air and naval. Not only that, each player will be able to pick a single country or selection of countries and fight his way against either the AI or in multiplayer in hotseat or Play by E-Mail. This innovative multiplayer feature will give player the chance to fight bigger scenarios against many opponents, giving the game a strategic angle that has no equal in the market. The game uses Slitherine’s revolutionary PBEM++ server system.

In Soviet Russia hexes control you!

Is there a way to transfer control of a hex from one allied country to another? The problem I have is the Germans have just taken Kiev but somehow it became an Italian controled hex and the German event for controlling Kiev didn't fire. Not to mention that the horrid mish-mash of control lines in the Ukraine make it difficult to interpret where the actual front line is.

Nope, there is no possibility to secede control of those hexes.
The reason why Italians were able to capture those hexes is most probably because the dofference in Diplomacy Strength has been reduced to less than 20 points between those countries.

In all my Barbarossa campaigns, I've never seen this happen. So if Germany has about the same diplo points as Italy or some other Axis country, what decides which country gets a specific conquered hex?

For example if the Italian unit enter onto soviet hex from German hex and the difference between the Diplo Strength is less than 20, then the hex is given to Italy, if the difference is larger than 20 then the hex is given to Germany.

Diplomatic Points for Germany 31, DP for Italy 30 (e.g. less than 20 difference), not hexes have been given to Italy, all captured hexes in Russia are under German control. Due early Soviet attack, I have been recapturing Romanian hexes, which revert to Romanian control.

So I have seen no problem, if relative DP numbers are a problem they can be adjusted using F12 screen. [:)]

Are we talking about Political Strength, which sets to order of movement in an alliance, as there doesn't seem to be much you can do about how much political strength you have, apart from not doing too many political mistakes (failed coups).

I have been through the Manual, but am unsure if there is much the player can do to either gain, or maintain, political strength. [:)]

I have nothing to add other than GREAT THREAD TITLE. I'm just old enough to remember Yakov Smirnoff, no matter how hard I try to forget.
