Nation code for Philippines in pwhexe

Post by elcid »

In the pwhexe editor

all locations in the philippines have entered 00 = none for nationality

IF you assign the code for the Philippines the file becomes unloadable - generating the error "unable to load map data"
efen if only one hex is so coded

The possible codes to enter are all hexidecimal - except this one - which seems to
be a typo for a hex number

The code os OD - that is Capital O followed by D
and probably needs to be 0D - that is zero followed by D

IF the code that can be entered is changed in the editor - THEN probably the code will work

This could be confirmed by a hex editor - easy to say - but even if one can load the file -
it will take some effort to figure out which field to edit? Unless there is a listing of the field order somewhere.

Related to this, many major locations (not all) in the US are coded 00 - but recoding them to 0A or 0B
works - apparently well.

I haven't got a link to it, but do a search for the nice hex editor that a forumite did for AE. It also includes support for the new optional stacking limits.

I doubt that nationality is 0 for Philippines.
Press '4' when game is loaded and it will show (13) as the owner (Philippines) of a hex in the islands.
