Game auto minimizes with 64 bit O/S

After the first turn game minimizes constantly but does not crash and no errors. Tried reducing Rez to 1024 x 768 but no effect.
I never had so much problems with old Intel P4, 1 gig ram and 256mb video with 32 bit Win XP!
Now have Intel I5, 1 gig video, 8gb ram and 64 bit Win 7 operating system

How do I stop this from happening

I'm running on a similar system with no problems which probable helps you very little. I've been running my game on a resolution less than the native resolution of the monitor in windowed mode using -px and -py to set the res. Try some of the switches see if that helps.

Here's what I'm using for my Win 7 system:

"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -w -px1440 -py900

I removed the "-cpu2" from the end of the statement above because I wasn't sure how many CPU's you have. I got 2.

It sounds like you have some other application that is trying to take control. If you are running in full screen mode, another application taking control will cause the game to minimize so the other application can show. Look for programs loaded at boot that were not installed in your old system. If this is a major brand, there is probably a bunch of useless applications installed. Most of the major brands have deals with various vendors and install their junk on computers they sell.
