Fatal Error:100

Post by CaptDave »

Yesterday, I think I properly copied DaBigBabes to AE, but didn't have time to do anything with it. This process consisted solely of copying the pw... files into the AE directory and the appropriate map files into the ART directory.

Today I have a few minutes to at least look at the new map, but when I try to start the program -- either the beta or the official version -- I get a Fatal Error:100 message. The only reference I can find is in a thread from 2007 in the WitP forum, indicating this error is related to two installations of WitP. I didn't install the program, though, so this doesn't seem applicable.

The error persists after copying the original files back, suggesting the problem isn't related to those files. I've been working with computers long enough to know that there could still be some relationship there, regardless of what logic says.

Any ideas on what causes this error and what I can do to fix it? Obviously a reinstall would do the trick, but I'd like to avoid that if possible.

Never mind -- after a few days without response, I went ahead and reinstalled. As expected, everything's working now. I'm just paranoid about losing data during reinstalls of any program! (And I still don't like uninformative error messages, either.)
