Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

This is simple 'problem', I think there were previous threads with answer buried long down the pages.

I just started playtesting WITE and noticed that lines of words sometimes overlapped across others. I am able to prevent that by changing my computer Desktop deafult from Medium font to Small (which is Win7 default). I am old man (played the first WIR back in early 80s on Atari followed by the newer WIR of the 90s) so I set my computer to Medium. Is there any way to change the game to remove the font size problem in the game without needing me to set my Desktop to Small?

I just change this "2,Arial,10,0", to 2,Arial 8,0."

Have to do that with every patch though. But not a big deal.

+1
That's an awesome feature. I like the alternative fonts, they add a bit to the feel of the game.

eureka! it worked!! Changing one single line is something my foggy brain can still do. The text is now beautifully displayed although I reset my computer fonts to Medium.

Thank you so much [&o]

You do have to look at and see the game constantly. I have played with a lot of fonts and am using the over-rides below.
Somebody joked about Comic Sans but i actually sort of like it in some places.

//Wite Font Config File
//*********************************
//Font id,Name,Size,0-normal/1-bold
//*********************************
//
//Default Fonts
//
//1,Arial,14,0
//2,Arial,10,0
//3,Arial,18,0
//4,Verdana,7,0
//5,Verdana,8,1
//6,Verdana,7,0
//7,Georgia,18,0
//8,Verdana,7,1
//9,Verdana,9,0
//
//1 - is big font widely used in headers
//2 - the most used font
//3 - rarely used big font (ex. end game screen)
//4 - rarely used small font (ex. top menu date/turn, etc)
//5 - used on unit counters on highest zoom and as small bold header
//6 - small font used in Commander's report
//7 - rarely used large font (ex. weather report)
//8 - small bold font used on unit counters on medium zoom. also used in Commander's Report
//9 - widely used in editor
//
1,Calibri,15,0
2,Cambria,10,0
3,Calibri,18,0
4,Comic Sans MS,9,0
5,Arial,9,1
6,Comic Sans MS,9,0
