Modding the briefing screen

Is there anyway to mod the briefing screen to have the scenario maps for each mission? Its been years since I played Panzer General but if I remember correctly before each scenario it would show a grand map like the ones included with PC.

Yes, you can. DMP have done it with their Ostfront mod.

Put a line like:

<CENTER><p><img src="[image_name].png" width="###" height="###" alt="[Hover-over text]"></p></CENTER>

in your briefing file and put the image in the UI folder.

Hover-over text appears when the mouse is hovered over the image in the briefing.

Is it possible to use also gif animation or better avi files in this briefing sets ?
