The Wargamer has reviewed Team Assault: Baptism of Fire!!!

Team Assault: Baptism of Fire is a 3D turn-based tactical game where players take command of infantry squads to engage the enemy in intense close combat. Although the combat system is turn-based, the game play can be as fast paced and dynamic as you'd like. Dynamic turns, counter actions and continual feedback keep you constantly engaged while still giving you enough time to make important decisions to change the course of battle!

A bit confusing. Throughout the article he seems to completely enjoy the game, but then in the conclusion not so much. or at least that is how I took it.

I understand and certainly accept the points made on the graphics and things like that; but his statement “They can only deploy them inside a “deployment box”, which is a bit difficult to find—wish it was more pronounced.” That is a bit hard to take. . . . um . . . . . it’s the giant blue box that take up about 10% of the map. How much more “pronounced” does it need to be?

Other than that one statement, I think the article was excellent.

. . . . . . That and what the rest of us have already been saying (or known) now. . . . . . . . Need a campaign and need better AI forces to fight against being the top two.

Thanks for posting this.

I would like to know what victory condition he was playing when he complained about the A.I. not being aggressive enough. I suck at the game, but even I know that rushing forward leads to disaster.

Not that I looked real hard, but I couldn’t find an email for the writer of the article. If I did I would like to send him a challenge to try the game again playing against one of my forces I made for the AI and see what he thought then.
