Try the "Overrun" Scenario

This exciting new release is a faithful adaptation of the renowned Conflict of Heroes board game that won the Origins Historical Game of the Year, Charles Roberts Wargame of the Year and the James F. Dunnigan Design Elegance Award, as well as many others!

Designed and developed in cooperation with Uwe Eickert, the original designer of Conflict of Heroes, and Western Civlization Software, the award-winning computer wargame studio, no effort has been spared to bring the outstanding Conflict of Heroes gameplay to the computer. Conflict of Heroes includes an AI opponent as well as full multiplayer support with an integrated forum and game lobby. To remain true to the core gameplay of the board game, the PC version is designed to be fun, fast and easy to play, though hard to master. The game design is also historically accurate and teaches and rewards platoon and company-level combined arms tactics without overwhelming the player with rules.

Try the "Overrun" Scenario

Try the scenario "Overrun" as the Germans on a difficulty higher then normal. It's a mini Dien Bien Phu! You have a force of dug in Germans who or besieged by the Soviets on 3 sides...lots of fun :)

Hi hafer,  yea it's not too hard but it's easy to end up with a draw if your not carful that's why I suggested playing it on a harder level.  I like the concept of the scenario, being surrounded and trying to hold out against greater numbers.

I think if I ever get good at designing scenarios I would try to make one similar but involve more armor or doing something like a "Halfaya Pass" scenario excpet in an Eastern Front setting.  The Germans would be dug in and have some AT guns, a few HMG units, mortars and a mix of pioneer/rifle squads and they would have to hold a pass against a Soviet tank company.  The Soviets would get off board artillery smoke to use and would have to win against entrenched units.

A good scenario should offer several ways to advance so perhaps a longer route around the pass would also be available also but the German player would need to decide where place his troops. Just an idea at this point :)
