Uncommon Valor Download problems

Post by whiteoak »

I've installed Uncommon Valor and want to download the patches using the True Update feature...but I keep on getting error messages that say either 1: I'm not connected to the internet or 2: The Internet Server is not available. Well, I know I'm on the internet...and I've tried a number of different times, so I don't believe it's the server....does anyone have any advice? I can install the downloads directly from the Matrixgames Website, but I don't know how to get the program file to which I download the patch to update the Uncommon Valor files. If I download with the True Update method the patch will automatically update my files....but as I said, I don't know how to do that if I download to a separate folder from their website.

Thanks!

The server was down today for a few minutes. Otherwise it could also be heavy traffic, in this case (pretty usual at the moment) download the patches from our download section.
You might consider using a download manager like "Getright" that supports "resuming downloads".

I am having a similar problem. I am connected to the internet but the autoupdate feature fails every time. I have tried to doenload the patched directly from the website but I have been unable to do so. When I click on the patch download button, winzip immediately opens and tells me that the file is not a zip file and that I should try downloading it again. What should I do?

True Update has failed me about 50% of the time.

You can always do it the old fashioned way. That always works.
If something's not working you might want to tunk it a dite.
