Interested but quite expensive if not supported anymore...

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Interested but quite expensive if not supported anymore...

Post by Foofighter »

Hello fellow commanders.

I am quite intrigued by this title but I am quite put off by two things, price, and the fact that the last patch was about three years ago.

I don't mind paying the price for something that is fully supported however.

I have been following the forums for awhile and it seems there are some issues that has never been fixed.

I guess if it was on the D-Day sale I might have got it but I find it hard justifying at the moment.

The thing is I don't want to buy it now only to find a new title being released not to far from now.

Thoughts?

It is a great game. I played the TalonsSoft version and now this one. I keep coming back to it, every so often.
You can play against the AI and get a decent game. But, as in most of these, nothing beats PBEM.
I think it is worth it. It might go on sale again for the 4yh of July, and it is usually on sale around Christmas.

Hi Foofighter,

You beat me to the punch. I have been interested in this game since the first of the year and apparently just missed the holiday sale. But patch or no patch, if this game goes on sale again, I will be buying it. The subject matter really fascinates me since it is unlike most other wargames. So here's hoping!
