Phone gets extremely hot and game doesn't remember anything

Conquest!, developed by Illustrious Software and The Lordz Games Studio, is a turn-based game where the objective is to conquer up to 5 opposing players (either AI players or other human players) by defeating their armies and capturing their lands - to do this you will need to unite all of your lands, build up a powerful economy, and raise armies to defend the homeland and to take lands from your enemies. The game is set in medieval times and has a number of game modes available.

I owned this game on the PC, and I thought it nice but somewhat shallow. It is very well suited to play on the phone. However, I have a couple of problems.

* I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 and the phone gets extremely hot. So hot I dare not play the game for fear of damaging the phone. I have not had this beavior on any other app, chess applications for example, that should be similarly cpu-intensive.

* The game does not remember anything. Every time I start it t asks for language settings and assumes it is my first game.
