Vichy Fleet going over to the German!!??

Well its 1942 and I get a message saying something to the effect that Vichy might go allies so do I want (as the Germans) to take over Vichy. I say yes and low and behold I see that the French fleet in the Med and in the Atlantic is under German control. WOW!!

Question: is this a hardwired event or is it variable?? And I will ask the same question as I did on my other post- how do you make this a variable percent as opposed
to a hardwired event.

The reason I ask is this is a HUGE thing for the Germans --with the Italian fleet they could really challenge or win the med war at sea.
What I remember from reading is that the French Admirals would have nothing to do with handing over the fleet to the Germans. Churchill was so nervous
that he ordered the British Fleet to attack the Med French fleet in Oran (I think) to prevent the fleet from falling into the hands of the Germans.

Anyhow maybe someone has a CONSTRUCTIVE comment and not as my other post say "use the cheat key or play another game".

It's a variable event. As with the other event you posted about, if you want to change the percent chance of it happening, or want to delete the event altogether, you will need to use a text editor and go into the event file for the related country and related scenario.

The only thing variable about the event is when it will happen.

The Germans will always get the Vichy fleet.


That event is completely a historical and has been repaired in the Third Reich scenario.
