Yes. But it was MORE than spending. They crumbled because their system was inherently flawed.

True, that ofc raises the question what is inherently flawed. Guess time will tell, long after we are not here any more.

Like historians still theorize why the Roman Empire fell...

Maybe it's because the building block of any system of government, man, is flawed.

Like historians still theorize why the Roman Empire fell...

According to Ambrose, the Roman Empire fell apart because the rest of the world wore pants instead of togas.

Now, now. Read the American government statement carefully:

Pentagon denied on Thursday media reports that a Russian nuclear powered submarine cruised unnoticed for several weeks in the Gulf of Mexico near the shores of the United States.

“I don't know what that information was based on, but it was not correct,” Wendy Snyder, a spokeswoman for the Pentagon, said.

So, what have you learned. What word sticks out in that statement??

Yes, and the downfall began when Brutus, wearing black market jeans, pulled out a revolver and shot Caesar.

I understood the article perfectly. You have just repeated the POINT I WAS TRYING TO MAKE. There was no UNNOTICED sub.

What I am suspicious about is the so-called Washington Free Beacon. Why did they post a story about an ‘undetected’ Russian sub? Do they have an agenda?

Hoodie and baseball cap on sideways. Baggie jeans around his knees. Etc.

History began July 4th, 1776. Anything before that was a mistake.
