Naval Different

Post by PAWMatrix »

Hello,

Just got Panzer Corps! Fantastic game.

I used to own Panzer General & Pacific General.

I remember Naval units could repair at sea(only 1 or 2 points), fix in port (complete fix).

Now, I did not seem to be able to do either in my Narvik scenario.

Did I miss something or are ships unrepairable?

There's no repair at sea option. You can repair in ports you control. They can't repair on the same turn they enter the port, so you have to enter the port, end the turn, and then you can repair. You don't want to spend a lot on them since ships do not carry over into subsequent missions.

Also see the "How to repair ships?" thread for more details.

Trifler is right, you can repair them in ports but it usually ain't worth it because they're cannonfodder anyways. I repair the cheaper ones sometimes, with the sole purpose of using them as bait, the smaller ships don't have a big punch but sure can surprise the enemy or draw their fire. I'd rather have the AI shoot at my ships than my Arty or Inf. see?

Ahh, I must be remembering Pacific General then, where ships did continue on. Good points above though.
