Ship design

Well i finally started to play this game and it looks awesome.

But I´ve noticed that the computer tends to design [my] military ships without any weapons... just wondering if it is supposed to be like this?

I restarted the game and changed to humans and foreced the AI to have "Beam weapons" on military ships and then the AI designed the shipmodels with weapons. I do think the same problem(?) applies to npc AI. Seen a lot of enemy escorts without any weapons.

Did i miss something?

Hi mikbob,

It is a bug related to using a non-English version of windows. It is because certain version of windows such as French read a "." as a ","

There is a way to fix it listed in this thread tm.asp?m=3154969
