minesweeping only in friendly bases

Post by Makaer »

Has anyone gotten 'path widened' or any other minesweeping messages while sweeping enemy controled bases?

The second I control the base, and get the mine layout paperwork, my MSW's kick in and sweep like mad. But I could have 10 MSW's in an enemy base hex for a week or more and not have a single mine swept. At first I had all my MSW's in the same TF, then I split them into single MW TF's, which seems to work better. But I know I have them set up right because they do a great job once the base is friendly.

I'm curious is this is just me. Maybe I'm impatient and it takes a good deal of time to sweep uncharted enemy mine fields. Mines do so much damage to landing parties that I have learned my lesson, and land my troops somewhere else and walk them if I can (big if).
