Kind of OT – A War historical discovery near Pearl Harbour

Scientists believe to have found the wreck of a Japanese mini-submarine that USS Ward claimed to have engaged in the morning of the Pearl Harbour attack.

If this turns out to be true, it means that the first loss of the Pacific War was not suffered by the Americans, but the Japanese.

Here is a link to a Finnish newspaper, which has a picture of the wreck. I know most of you can’t read Finnish, but as CNN didn’t have a picture of the wreck, I though it could be nice.

This actually made me think that are the Japanese mini-subs operating in and near PH going to be modelled in the Witp? And if they are, can USS Ward try to engage them? In this new light that at least should be possible

Was this ever in dispute? From what Ive read it is pretty much excepted as fact that the sub was sunk before PH attack.

RE: Ward/mini-sub accounter being modeled in WITP; Since this is a grand strtategic game, I think the best you can hope for is that any attack on PH would have a certain percent chance of not being a surprise.
