WAR PLAN ORANGE MOD?

Hi folks I thought I should ask, if anyone has any objection in me creating a mod conversion of WAR PLAN ORANGE over to the WITP AE via the AE editor,I own both games and I intend to do all my own art for ships and any aircraft used in the mod,all Admirals Editions devices will be removed and replaced with WW1 devices,I also intend to make the mod available when finished to anyone who owns a copy of both games.I want to upgrade WAR PLAN ORANGE to Admirals Edition standard,if any WITP AE programmers or designers or anyone for that matter that had anything to do with the making off WITP AE,has a problem with me doing this,I will off course respect their wishes and not make it available to anyone else,so I thought I should ask?

I have started the conversion for personal use at this stage,but would like to make it available to gamers who own both games?

Well if there is no objections at present time to this mods creation,are there any gamers here who would be interested in this mod when finished?

Don't forget starting for game is expected to be no earlier than Dec 1941. Lots of date calculations based on this.

Hi michaelm I realise that the start date is hard coded to Dec 1941, I have allowed for this in the mod,doing this mod solo is going to take ages, but I think it will be worth it and interesting,I'm not expecting it to be complete before the end off 2013 at earliest,it's a huge amount of work to undertake.

You should also mention this in Scenarios & Modifications sub-forum, since most modders lurk there and might be even able to help.

Thanks Sardaukar,I posted here to ask if there were any objections from Matrix or the game designers to this mod,but as yet I have had no official reply either yes or no to my question,if given the all clear to do this mod I will post in the Scenarios thread cheers.[;)]

Actually, Commander Stormwolf made a War Plan Orange-style mod already, here is the link to his AAR based on it:

I didn't read all of it, I don't know how much of a direct link it was with the original game (and the AAR shows a start date of 12/7/41).

It might be WAR PLAN Orange by name but that's as far as it goes,the mod I'm doing is completely different,this has bi-planes in it instead of monoplane fighters,think 1920s stuff gets transported 20 plus years into the future,Aircraft Carriers are in it but they are the very early development versions,Pre-Dreadnoughts,Dreadnoughts & Battlecruisers rule the seas,this is a whole different ball game altogether.
