Japanese CS conversions to CVL are available only in Tokyo, and it has to have size >50 repair yard to allow conversion.

Hmmm,
ORIGINAL: Barb

Japanese CS conversions to CVL are available only in Tokyo, and it has to have size >50 repair yard to allow conversion.

The popup dialogue box states that the upgrade is currently available and that a minimum shipyard size of 25 is required yet the Chitose has been disbanded in Tokyo since end of June... it is now September 12th, repair yard facilities are building to 50 as I write (currently 43). The upgrade has not yet begun.

Based on the discrepancy on the remark above and the contents of the dialogue box I have the following questions.

I should point out though that this situation is midway through the Reluctant Admiral Version 3.4 (.2 I think).

1. Is the content of the dialogue box detailing the minimum shipyard size a parametric definition contained in the scenario.

2. If the answer to 1 is yes, is there a piece of code built into the executable which overrides this parameter?

3. If the answer to 2 is no, can anybody offer an explanation why the upgrade has not yet begun, especially since these repair yards have been bone idle during the first part of September.

3. Is it necessary to upgrade the Tokyo repair yards to 51 or is the requirement actually 'repair yards >= 50'?

When you click on the Upgrade text, doesn't it say what the minimum shipyard is? A screen of this?

BTW, conversion of a ship from one type to another (as in CS to CVL) of large ships (bigger than CA) needs to be done at the nation's home base.

Yep. The supply will stop it upgrading. Didn't notice that in the image, and it was the same thing that stopped me when I tested it!!
