Airforce problem & more

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

Airforce problem & more

Post by Kensai »

I've two other questions (didn't found them in the manual):

1. I've encountered a problem when using the airforce. Sometimes, there are only some squadrons listed even many more should be available. Yesterday, I had only a stab of 4 bombers to select from in the battle of Leningrad, even I had plenty of LW units close to the front. This is most obvious when playing turn one as German when you have only bombers in the northern group to select from even there plenty of fighter groups available. Sometimes, after you make an attack, they suddenly become available (along with differnt bomber units). Am I missing something here? I've checked the HQs and everything seems to be fine.

2. is there a way to show captured equipment in the pool?

1. Some air missions can not be flown if the air group has already conducted any mission. Level bombers can not conduct air transport missions if they have already flown and no bomber can conduct a "bomb unit" mission and so on. Specifics should be in the manual (section 16).

2. They should be furthest down on the list.

I've come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubble gum!

1. it was "bomb" unit and all KGs and JGs where not flow yet this round. The bases are attached to AGN and about 50-100 km away from Leningrad. Same for turn one, the AI selects a set of bombers (always the same, I can look it up when I'm at home) which are always the same and without fighters. And as I said: sometimes other air units are show if you repeat the same mission after you have flown one

2. strange, I have only supply, fuel dumps ect. listed, not a single piece of equipment

Kensai, you have to set the "production screen" to "Germany", if you set "All areas", the captured equipement does not show...

you could try with selection of an airbase close to the target
this must show you groups available (from same fliegerkorps)
bombing unit as transport can be done once
